Promoting a Healthy Lifestyle at Cabilauan Elementary School Through Kusina LMS

At Cabilauan Elementary School, our commitment to holistic education extends beyond academics to embrace the importance of a healthy lifestyle. In line with this mission, the local government unit (LGU) of New Lucena recently organized the Kusina Laging May Sustansiya (Kusina LMS) event on February 20, 2024. This initiative, championed by Liecel Mondejar-Seville, aims to promote wellness through the use of indigenous ingredients commonly found in home gardens.

Embracing Indigenous Ingredients for Better Nutrition

Kusina LMS emphasizes the use of locally grown, indigenous ingredients to prepare nutritious meals. These readily available resources not only enhance health but also strengthen our connection to Filipino culture and heritage. By sourcing ingredients from backyard gardens, we encourage healthier eating habits while supporting sustainable and eco-friendly practices.

Future initiatives will focus on further education, sustainability, and collaboration with local farmers to ensure continuous access to fresh and healthy ingredients.

Join Us in Promoting a Healthier Future

We encourage the community to participate in this journey toward better health by growing their own backyard gardens, using indigenous ingredients in their meals, and educating future generations on the importance of proper nutrition. Together, we can build a healthier, more sustainable, and resilient community.
