Local Government Gears Up for a Milestone Event

        The local government of New Lucena, Iloilo is in full swing as it prepares for the much-anticipated groundbreaking and unveiling of the Family and Youth Development Center (FYDC) on February 14, 2025. This landmark event will be graced by Governor Arthur Defensor Jr.,  Mayor Natalie Ann F. Debuque,  key personnel from the provincial capitol, and local officials.

Spearheading the Preparations

        The preparations for this milestone are spearheaded by Municipal Planning and Development Coordinator Engr. John Suelo and General Services Officer Sotero Lomigo Jr.. Their leadership ensures that all logistical, structural, and ceremonial aspects are executed smoothly.

Ensuring a Grand and Organized Ceremony

        To ensure the success of this grand occasion, the local government is meticulously planning the following aspects:

  • Venue Preparation – The construction site is being cleared and prepped for the groundbreaking.
  • Program and Guest Coordination– Invitations have been sent to key government officials, stakeholders, and community leaders.
  • Logistical Arrangements – Necessary equipment, seating, and safety measures are being put in place.

  • Community Involvement –  LIGA ng mga Barangay, Sangguniang Kabataan, and civic organizations are invited to witness and participate in the event.

        The Family and Youth Development Center is envisioned as a safe and nurturing space where young individuals and families can access essential services, education, and support programs. The center will host leadership training, livelihood workshops, and social development programs, fostering community growth.
