Exciting Innovations Await!

The Tultugan Festival of Maasin, last year’s champion, promises to bring something fresh this year! Artistic Director Ron Mathews Espinosa shared that their performance will highlight bamboo’s versatility—not just as a material for crafts but also in food, architecture, and more. “Bamboo symbolizes endless possibilities, and we’re excited to show that to everyone,” he said.

Festivals with Heart and Passion

The Haw-as Festival of Dumangas, meanwhile, plans to highlight the town’s famous aquaculture products like milkfish. Dumangas Tourism Officer Roderick Ticar shared their strong drive to deliver a show-stopping performance. “We haven’t won yet, but that just makes us more determined!” he said with a smile.

A Boost for Iloilo’s Tourism

Gov. Arthur Defensor Jr. highlighted how the Kasadyahan sa Kabanwahanan helps put Iloilo’s towns in the spotlight, showcasing their unique culture, arts, and traditions. “Our municipalities are truly fun, foodie, and friendly,” he proudly shared.

Financial Support for the Tribes

To help make their performances even more spectacular, the provincial government has increased financial support. Second to fifth-class towns, like New Lucena, Cabatuan, and San Rafael, will each receive ₱2 million, while first-class towns like Calinog and Dumangas will receive ₱1.5 million—a boost from last year’s funding!

Don’t miss this colorful and festive event that celebrates the heart and soul of Iloilo. See you there!
