A group of BSM III Registered midwives paid a courtesy visit to Mayor Liecel Mondejar-Seville on February 8, 2022.

        Lyra Joy Amante, Aura Joy Castillanes, Elena Gedalanga, Julie Ann Ibao, and Cylen Jover will undergo a Clinical Practicum Community Health Service Management (CP CHSM) as required by their curriculum in Integrated Midwives Association of the Philippines (IMAP) Foundation School of Midwifery, Inc. Earlier, Mayor Liecel Mondejar-Seville approved their application to adapt Brgy. Poblacion, New Lucena, Iloilo to act as Community Health Team (CHT) for a one or two-day Public Health-Related Services to track eligible population by utilizing the UHC life cycle approach in providing Family Planning, Antenatal Care, Adolescent Life Skills and Reproductive Health Education and the Garantisadong Pambata Package for children 0-14 years of age, Immunization and Health Education to prevent communicable and non-communicable diseases.

                    

        The one or two-day Clinical Practicum Community Health Service Management (CP CHSM) is also in compliance with CHED Memorandum Order (CMO) No. 33, S. 2007. The program is composed of General Education ad Professional Courses to prepare registered midwives for higher-level midwifery competencies that include Clinical Practicum in Management of Obstetrical Emergencies and High-Risk Pregnancies, Care of Infant and Children, Comprehensive Family Planning, Community Health Service Management, Midwifery Pharmacology, Research, Midwifery Entrepreneurship, and Administration and Supervision.

        Mayor Liecel Mondejar-Seville believes that the program will not only benefit Brgy. Poblacion, New Lucena but also the Midwives that will undergo the practicum as they develop their competencies to become better in their profession.
