The Municipality of New Lucena has launched the “Tawhay Dalan” Campaign to raise the awareness of all New Lucenanhons about the Road Clearing Initiatives of our government. The campaign aims to educate its constituents about the goal and the importance of road-cleared thoroughfares, free from obstruction and illegal structures.  

        Through Executive Order 2021-07, Mayor Liecel Mondejar-Seville has ordered to establish a grievance mechanism for Road Clearing Operations in the municipality. The Grievance Committee is composed of the following:

        All of the Barangays of the Municipality of New Lucena were also ordered to establish their own Barangay Road Clearing Help Desk as part of their grievance mechanism. All complaints, grievances, and violations related to the implementation of road clearing operations shall be reported to the official email address of the barangay if there is any, or to their contact number. 

        Social Media was also one of the channels that Mayor Seville took advantage of to promote the “Tawhay Dalan” campaign. The official Page of Mayor Liecel Mondejar-Seville and LGU New Lucena were very active to promote its activities and serves as a channel online to receive complaints and grievances arising from road clearing operations. A helpdesk hotline number was also opened to receive feedback. 

        Since the launch of “The Road Clearing Campaign” in 2019, the Facebook pages and the helpline have received zero complaints But the Office of the Mayor and the Road Clearing Task Force were very proactive in identifying problem areas and reporting these areas to their respective Punong Barangay for immediate action.   

        The Municipality of New Lucena highly supports the road clearing campaign of President Rodrigo R. Duterte. The municipality hopes for the success of this campaign through the discipline and cooperation of all its constituents.
